Coastguard’s Old4New Lifejacket Upgrade will provide about 4,000 new lifejackets at discounted prices, at 56 locations around New Zealand.

Coastguard’s Old4New Lifejacket Upgrade will provide about 4,000 new lifejackets at discounted prices, at 56 locations around New Zealand.

Starting in Whangarei on Saturday, the Old4New van will tour the country. For people who can’t get to the van, the upgrade is also available through Boating & Outdoors stores.

The main aim is to deliver an affordable lifejacket upgrade to boaties and take unsafe lifejackets off the market – it also provides a fantastic opportunity to educate local communities about safer boating. The goal is for all Kiwi boaties to come home safely.

Maritime NZ is proud to continue funding Coastguard’s Old4New Lifejacket Upgrade. This year, providing $70,000.

Go to the Old4New to see when the van will be in your neck of the woods.
